The flooring turned out awesome! We went with Allure Vinyl Planks from Home Depot in Pacific Pine. The residential version was out of stock so we installed the commercial grade version which was just a bit more expensive, but has a coating which is supposed to improve the surface durability.
As to the carpet, we opted for easy and picked out a color of the higher-end styles on a roll from Lowes. The padding is Stainmaster’s high density version, also from Lowes.
Here’s some pictures of the installation and final product!
Power breakfast before starting the flooring.
First pieces going down!
Gonna have to fabricate a transition strip for the dining area.
Entry step all dressed up!
Carpet going down.
Tedious work around the slides. Don’t want it to come loose when they roll in!
Trimming in the landing area.
All done! Just need a transition strip now.
This landing was a booger, but worth the effort. I may have missed my calling…
